Support for business and technical professionals

Over the past twelve months, ICUT has accepted commissions from increasing numbers of business and professional clients to provide a variety of services. These include European languages tutors, English language tutors, Computer and I.T. tutors, consultants and technical support. Indeed this is a growth field for ICUT, but reaffirms us in our view that much of the training so much needed for the development of British industry and commerce is simply not available. Nor are the professional services necessarily well served by existing educational or training departments of government.

As a support service, ICUT endeavours to be swift, discreet and efficient, with tutors going to the place of work or residence (depending on what is needed) and carrying out required instruction and/or tutoring. Although much work tends to be done with individuals, actually there has been a tendency of late to cater for the needs of business and professional groups which is encouraging.

Typical of the new business customers is a Leamington firm whose senior director needed to make regular business trips to and from Germany. The view was taken that in order to boost business, the director needed to take German lessons, so ICUT provided a tutor who gave weekly tuition in German on site. Another example would be the Luton firm whose staff needed training in the Java Computer language, again provided by ICUT’s head of computers on site. There are many more.
